Our Product Safety and Testing

At Amōriq, we firmly believe in ensuring the safety and effectiveness of our products without compromising the welfare of animals or the planet. Our comprehensive testing protocols involve evaluations on human subjects — real users who voluntarily participate to help us assure the performance of our products. Our stance against animal testing extends to our supply chain; we diligently research and verify that none of our ingredients or products are associated with animal testing, ensuring that every Amōriq product you use is cruelty-free, safe, and effective.

Cruelty Free Efficacy Testing

All Amōriq products undergo tests that verify the intended purpose of each product by quantifying its effects on the skin of human subjects and never on animals. These tests are done through a non-bias volunteer basis with real users of each product, their experiences, and the results of continuous application.

Amōriq does not conduct or commission animal testing of any cosmetic ingredient, raw material, or formulation of any finished product. Additionally, based on our research through third party industry resources, we do not use any ingredient or product from any supplier or manufacturer that conducted, commissioned, or was a party to animal testing for the products we purchase from them.

Preservative Testing

Every Amōriq formulation batch is tested for efficacy and preservation to ensure the safety of all our products. We “test challenge” each formulation with known bacteria, yeast, and fungi to ensure the antimicrobial properties of our natural preservatives. We also temperature test all our products to ensure the preservatives continue to be effective regardless of climate.

Stability Testing

These tests determine the shelf life of products and demonstrate how product quality varies with time and with different environmental factors such as temperature, humidity, and end user dispensing. Product attributes such as color, separation, odor, changes in weight, pH, viscosity, density, and microbial quality are tested over time to determine the safest “use by date”.
