Daily Operations and Energy Efficiency

Every day, we implement a triple-sanitation method on all tools and materials used in our formulation process, enabling reuse and dramatically reducing waste. By minimizing our use of electricity through small batch pulling systems and utilizing reusable lab tools, we significantly reduce our energy footprint. Additionally, our commitment to sourcing locally when available, both for ingredients and equipment, decreases transportation emissions while supporting our local economy.

Natural Ingredients and Natural Capital

In our dual-mission to give your skin the most bio-active products available while preserving nature's bounty, we incorporate minimally processed ingredients whenever possible. This practice conserves energy, as it requires very little processing to maintain the bioavailability of our plant-derived components. Through these methods, we aim to protect not only your skin, but also to preserve the planet's natural capital: our air, land, water, and minerals, to ensure future generations can enjoy the Earth's beauty and resources.

Water Conservation, Nutrient Maximization

Instead of using water in the majority of our formulations, we use hydrosols, a nutrient-rich byproduct of making essential oils. Hydrosols are just as hydrating as water but contain far more nutrients.

Our sanitation process for lab tools and machines also minimizes water usage. If there is any residual product after formulating and dispensing a product, instead of diluting it with water, we treat it with isopropyl alcohol before discarding it into the sewer system. This ensures the safety and reduction of any harmful molds, fungi, or bacterias and is the most environmentally safest way to discard residue while reducing the use of water.

Recycling and Reusing Single Use Materials to Reduce Waste

Amōriq is committed to recycling and reducing waste. All packaging from supply and ingredient deliveries is broken down and recycled. The safety and purity of our formulations is of utmost importance, and the tools we use to make them are an important part of that process. While the easiest way to formulate is with single use materials, we use stainless steel and silicone. By thoroughly washing and sanitizing our tools before each use, we maintain product safety while significantly reducing waste.
